Title: Assistant Record to Report Accountant
We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for Assistant Record to Report Accountant to join the Finance team on a permanent contract. This role will be based in the Matchworks, Liverpool and will offer Hybrid working.
This is a full-time role, with standard working hours of 37.5 hours per week – Wednesday and Thursday in the office along with every third Friday.
Reporting to the Record to Report Accountant within Group Shared Services (GSS), this role will provide accurate financial reporting, planning and analysis services for all GSS related functions.
Supporting the wider Finance Services team, this role will bring opportunity to support specific projects within the Transactional Services teams.
What you will do:
- Production of monthly management accounts with meaningful variance analysis commentary
- Provision of monthly headcount reporting, monitoring baseline & cost efficiency tracking
- Preparation of periodic reforecasts and annual budgets for each GSS cost centre
- Maintaining robust balance sheet reconciliations, resolving aged items and providing commentary where required
- Delivering accurate recharges to Business Units, supporting a periodic review of methodology to ensure relevance
- Effective collaboration with stakeholders across the business, including Business Units, group finance and GSS teams
- Ensure compliance with recognised accounting standards, policy and procedures whilst adhering to period end reporting schedules
- Schedule and coordinate the quarterly Transactional Services Updates, engaging all teams in collating content and delivering the updates
- Support the delivery of the wider Transactional Services team’s projects where required
- Support internal and external audit requirements
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement
What you will bring:
- AAT qualification in progress or part qual ACCA/ACMA
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Ability to work with stakeholders at different levels
- Microsoft Application experience particularly Excel
- Experience in Month end reporting and cost variance analysis
- Budgeting and forecasting experience
- Strong finance, analytical and problem solving abilities
